San Diego Zoo Safari Park

The Wild Animal Park, also known as the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, is absolutely AWESOME! It is located in northeast San Diego near Escondido. This 1,800-acre zoo is one of the most popular tourist attractions in San Diego County.

The park has over 2,600 animals: over 300 animal species and 3,500 different types of plants.  Not only are there countless exhibits, but the world-renowned San Diego Zoo offers tours and rides as well.

My favorite part of the Wild Animal Park is watching the animals roam free in an environment that mirrors their natural habitat.

Good eats and craft beers are also available to complete the perfect experience at the park.

The price of admission is good for shows and exhibits, but the behind-the-scenes tours and animal interactions come at an additional cost.

The Wild Animal Park or San Diego Zoo Safari Park is the perfect place to spend the day. It’s definitely one of my favorite spots to take my friends and family or just to hang out and get closer to nature!
